Here is author Todd Gallagher's Facebook fan page. Please join! I'm helping manage the Todd Vs. High School blog and doing research for the his new book, so I'm very involved with this.

Todd Vs. High School is going well for him but he's super over-worked. But, hey, I'm sure some Facebook fans would give him the energy to keep studying and playing soccer.

It's not going to be updated like crazy so we won't spam you to death. Thanks!

Hi! The author I am working with is now working on a new book where he goes back to high school (a la Billy Madison) and is looking for questions you would like answered about high school. Do you have any questions? If so, they would be printed in the new book with your name. Thanks!

Here’s some examples:

“What percentage of the time that a teacher lets you watch a movie in class has to do with them being hungover, not having completed a lesson plan, or having a personal problem they’re dealing with?”

“Why do cool kids now dress like 80s nerds?”

“What’s the best way to have kids think you’re cool without making a huge effort?”

A few weeks ago I made writer for a Maude Team at UCB, which is like a Harold Team but for sketch. We put up a monthly show on Mondays. I am super pumped, as this is what I was working towards for the past year. My team is named Gorilla Gorilla and my friend Amber from Kape is on it with me. Emily is on Maude, too, but on a different team.

I wrote a Tennessee Williams monologue for Amber for our first show from a made up play called "The Hot Plantation", which hopefully won't get cut.

Our first show is May 4th.

I'm sure I committed blogging anarchy with that subject heading, but it's time you all knew the truth: I moved to Tumblr.

I will still post here every now and then though. I'm sorry Livejournal...

So Mike came up with this idea since and I helped him write some of these and film the karaoke. They are weird and fun. John and Sarah stars Mike Still and Kristy Webb.

While I was writing this we just got put up on The Apiary. Woo!

Digg it, if you like it!

For Cagematch here in NYC, they have comedic wrestling between the improv sets. My good buddy Bridget Fitzgerald and I wrestled with our characters Cat Lady and Lunch Lady. I was super happy with how our match went and can't wait to wrestle again. The Women's League has been defunct since Rat Don't Care disappeared, so I was pleased to be in the match that brought it back. I won by tricking her into taking a nap (I convinced her it was Saturday) so hopefully my character will be coming back.

I got published on McSweeney's today! Hooray!

I've been trying to focus a lot more on my writing recently. I stayed home last week on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday night. A true feat indeed! I wrote out three different pieces, then picked the one I was most confident in to submit. Since it was my first time I wanted to make a good impression. But, of course, I ended up making the worst possible impression: the crazy impression. When I did finally submit, I submitted it three times in thirty minutes. I couldn't stop myself. Each time the impulse to send another e-mail was stronger than the last. I kept thinking the formatting wasn't right. I wanted to submit it a fourth time, but I think I literally slapped my own hand away from the send button. To be fair, I got confused by the website's submission instructions. But, I do also make terrible first impressions.

But, anyway....McSweeney's. Yes. Everyone who likes to write comedy pieces should submit. They are nice and get back to you fairly quickly with feedback. I've heard this from a number of sources.

I woke up today and remembered I used to have a weekly column in The Austin Student. It was like a repressed memory. I wrote the column and as soon the paper got shut down, I completely forgot about it and locked it away somewhere in my brain to where I wouldn't have to think about it.

My good Texas Travesty/Krodd Cruise pal Janice and I are living together for the summer in a ridiculous SoHo apartment. We have a giant backyard. Here are some other people's pictures of our Pre-Memorial-Day BBQ:

Amber, When you get to Austin, you have to go to the Coyote Ugly Saloon and dance on the bar. Get Brannon to take you. E-mail him to let him know the dates and time you will be there. Love, Mother
